So the initial post has been published and the theme is set, now for an introduction to my good self and the reason for this self indulgence. Firstly, I am a story. That story has a name. My given name is Andrew Timothy Doyle, My chosen name is Dubh'Gall. I prefer to be called Andrew and if I let you call me Andy, trust me, it is a gift. Some people call me Drew, which I don't mind. One person calls me Roo, which is a gift to me. My closest friend calls me Dark Stranger (the translation of Dubh'Gall...basically means viking). Each of those names are part of this story.
My journey has been eventful at times, quiet at others...yet always meaningful. Every person, a stanza in my poem. I write some poetry, not very disciplined. I've never mastered recognised structure or form. Still, I am sure I will post some of on this blog. I enjoy an active imagination and have always fancied that, one day, I will write a book...I just need to discover that elusive inner well of motivation.
I have faith in humanity and believe in people. I always trust that the vast majority will always do the right thing. I separate individuals, preferring to see the singular over the collective. Still seeing the whole as a thing of beauty though. The tree is as beautiful as the woods.
I have a great love of sunrises and sunsets. I love living in the city of Worcester, it is a place that speaks to me and it has a wonderful voice.
I have a companion on this journey, I will only ever refer to him as The Great and Mighty Straun, Straun or The GMS. He is my best friend.
This is an insight into just a portion of me, I am sure you will see more.
